The MOMS Club Story
Celebrating Over 25 Years
1983-2009
It all began in 1983 when Mary James, an at home mother in Simi Valley, CA decided she was tired of being home alone. She wanted to meet other at home mothers and their children so they could play together! When she discovered that there were no other organizations that met during the day and allowed her to come with her baby and preschooler, she deiced to start a brand new organization, just for the at-home mothers, and the MOMS Club was born!
The first chapter she started was so successful, she knew mothers in other areas must be needing the same thing too! Soon she and her volunteers were helping other members start MOMS Clubs all across the country and soon around the world!
International MOMS Club has over 2,100 chapters in the United States and in 8 other countries!
